Enjoy a delicious dinner or drinks overlooking Hvar bay
Many of the spacious rooms boast sea views and balconies
Set on the wide expanse of Hvar’s main square, Palace Elisabeth is an elegant, luxury hotel with a rich history dating back to the 13th century when Hvar was under Venetian rule. Flanked by imposing Gothic architecture, palm trees and traditional fishing boats bobbing in the turquoise waters of the port, Palace Elisabeth is perfectly located for exploring the historic heart of Croatia’s sunniest island.
The hotel’s exterior features original elements dating back to both the 13th and 16th centuries, whilst inside, Palace Elisabeth has been sensitively transformed into a luxurious space without sacrificing the building’s historic origins. Grand, high ceilings, opulent chandeliers and polished marble floors hark back to the hotel’s previous palatial incarnation, whilst interiors have been modernised using muted tones and stylish furnishings. The majority of Palace Elisabeth’s 45 rooms and suites offer views of the Adriatic Sea, some with private balconies that look out towards the Pakleni Islands. Venetian details combine with contemporary furnishings and modern amenities to create a refined and stylish feel throughout.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served with a view, at the hotel’s only restaurant - San Marco. Flavours of the Mediterranean combine with local, seasonal produce to create delicious menus, with a particular mention going to the generous breakfasts served overlooking the harbour. Elsewhere in the hotel there is a tranquil spa, complete with two saunas (one Turkish and one Swedish), a glass-walled indoor swimming pool and an extensive treatment menu. The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to relax with a drink, soaking up the sights and sounds of Hvar Town and looking out to the islands beyond.
