San Francisco
Home to some of America’s most iconic sites, San Francisco is a veritable bingo of movie sets and postcard vistas. From the Golden Gate Bridge to the crooked zigzag of Lombard Street, the oppressive isolation of Alcatraz and the blissed-out vibes of Haight-Ashbury, the city has sights galore, all in one incredibly friendly, sunny, laid back package.
While there’s plenty of sites to be ticked off in San Fran, it’s as easily discovered by simply strolling its streets, sampling delicious seafood at Fisherman's Wharf, jumping on a cable car up the vertiginous hills and catching the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge.
