Highlights
Luxury hotel with all the Waldorf touches
Ski in/ski out access to Park City - one of North America's best resorts
Spacious suites - ideal for families
Beautiful Spa and wellness facilities
Located right at the base of Park City Mountain Resort, it is the newest member of the Waldorf Astoria collection. The hotel is ideal for families and couples looking to stay in a beautiful luxurious hotel with plentiful amenities and impeccable service. Being ski in/ski out with its own private gondola, guests can access over 4000 acres of ski terrain right from the front door - the fourth largest ski area in the States. One of the best hotels in Park City Mountain Resort, the Waldorf Astoria is modern and truly sumptuous. The large open lobby is dominated by a specially imported Italian fireplace and its antique lamps and dark wood furnishings make it very atmospheric and welcoming. You can't fail to be impressed when you first arrive.
Powder Restaurant serves delicious and simple seasonal food, and is also a convivial place for après ski drinks. Private dining can be arranged, with menus to suit everyone, and every evening, guests can enjoy complimentary s’mores around the firepit. The staff are keen to make your stay as memorable as possible, and as such, are attentive and helpful. It's the little touches that are important, and the hotel can arrange for a grocery shop to be ready in suites for your arrival. The Spa is incredibly luxurious, with its own gym and pool, offering a wide range of treatments and therapies.
Relatively unheard of internationally, and part of the Park City ski area, Park City Mountain Resort is Utah’s best kept secret, with over 10m of snowfall annually. It is the state's largest single ski and snowboard resort and has seen a huge amount of investment over recent years, with luxury hotels and express lifts, including the Orange Bubble Express (the country's only heated chairlift). Formerly an old mining region, the area hosted the 2002 winter Olympics. The Olympic museum is a just few minutes’ drive from Park City Mountain Resort and definitely worth a visit. The skiing is excellent for intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders with an impressive amount of accessible off-piste terrain and usually a lot of powder between the trees. Although many of the runs are steep, they are also very wide which makes it an ideal place for children to learn to ski. This is also helped by the very professional ski school and a great beginners area. The village, at the base of Park City Mountain, is small but it has a good selection of accommodation as well as some excellent choices of restaurants and bars - the most prestigious being the Farm. If you're staying for longer or want to explore a bit more, then the historic Main Street at Park City is only 15-minutes away by car, where you'll find a huge number of restaurants and bars as well as lots of art galleries. The resort itself however, has more than enough to explore and has an extensive events calendar throughout the winter season.
