It is hard to beat the location of Petra Guest House which is just metres away from the entrance to the historic site, making it the ideal retreat after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. While the accommodation is modest, it is clean and spacious and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
There are 41 guestrooms housed in the main building and 31 larger chalets located in the grounds. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and includes air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, Satellite TV, Wi-Fi, en-suite bathroom, safe and minibar. There are various room and chalet categories in a range of sizes, so families and larger groups can be easily catered for.
There is an onsite restaurant and guests can drink at one of the oldest pubs in the world, located in an ancient Nabatean tomb, the Cave Bar, which is a popular meeting place, spilling out onto a large terrace surrounded by original Nabatean stonework. The Guest House has lovely views of the Wadi Musa Mountains and is also a short walk to the restaurants and bars of the town, giving guests plenty of alternative dining options.
