Nagoya

Japan’s fourth largest city and a major port, Nagoya developed as a castle town during the Edo period. Since damage caused by the air raids of 1945, many of the city’s historic buildings have been restored and highlights include Nagoya Castle, the Atsuta Shrine, the Osu Kannon Buddhist temple and the observation deck of the 245-metre tall JR Central Towers.
