Located on the edge of the Gobi Desert with fabulous views of the Mingsha Sand Dunes (Singing Sand Dunes) and within walking distance of Crescent Lake, the Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel combines classic Chinese architecture with modern and comfortable accommodation. Built from traditional natural materials, dotted with courtyards, winding corridors and a wonderful rooftop café, this character hotel is a superb option for those looking for more of an authentic experience. The hotel is just a 20-minute drive from the airport, a 10-minute drive from the Shazhou Night Market and 30-minutes from the famous Mogao Caves. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport on request.

The décor continues the authentic theme with large Asian rugs, cool stone floors, Chinese antiques, local textiles and a rustic and atmospheric central Asian vibe. Guests have the choice to dine at the Deli Chamber serving classic Sichuan and Cantonese dishes or the Delights Chamber serving modern Asian and international cuisine.
