Pousada Trijunção

Sitting within a protected site spanning 33,000 hectares, Pousada Trijunção was established to support the preservation and conservation of Brazil’s great savanna, the Cerrado, through sustainable tourism and farming. One of the most diverse yet threatened biomes in the world, the Cerrado is home to a large population of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and over 850 species of bird. These creatures include many endangered species such as jaguar, ocelot, armadillo, anteater, grey eagle, and the elusive maned wolf. The main aim of this exclusive eco-lodge is to inspire and educate guests about the conservation challenges faced by the region and to encourage greater responsibility in supporting sustainability initiatives. 

The lodge has excellent eco credentials and is constructed from reclaimed wood, uses solar panels for water heating, and has low energy lighting. Guests stay in one of seven comfortable suites built around a pretty courtyard garden. The three Standard Suites include King bed, premium bed linens, cable TV, safety deposit box, climate control, minibar, ensuite with hairdryer and Natura amenities, while the three Premium Suites offer more space and a separate living room. For the ultimate in eco-lodge comfort, book the Master Suite, which includes two balconies and a whirlpool bathtub. All suites can accommodate 1-2 extra beds for families and larger groups, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the site.

The property sits between three Brazilian states Goiás, Bahia and Minas Gerais, which provide the inspirational flavours for the delicious cuisine. With both an indoor and outdoor kitchen, guests can enjoy al fresco meals, including evening BBQs accompanied by local musicians, breakfasts on the veranda and delicious lunchtime picnics. Alternatively, the Inside Kitchen serves à la carte?lunch and dinner created from fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients. The site also includes a small pool, hot tub, massage room, communal lounge, and dining room. Rates are all inclusive of meals, soft drinks, and beer, while additional charges apply for premium alcohol and spa treatments.
