Jao Concession

At the heart of the Okavango Delta, the private Jao Concession epitomises the very best of this fluvial landscape, where papyrus-lined rivers hide miniature reed frogs, lechwe leap through the pristine waters and hippos wallow in lily-filled lagoons. Pockets of fig and mangosteen trees are marooned on islands surrounded by the rich waters, their branches heavy with colourful birdlife.

Paddle through this flooded land, the only sound a gentle lapping as the oars hit the water, allowing you to get as close as possible to the game and smaller wildlife of this lush environment.

Tubu Tree Camp is a small intimate camp situated in the Jao concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. There are just eight traditional style tents built on raised wooden platforms, all with incredible views over the surrounding floodplains and game.
