A la carte and tasting menus change with the seasons and the availability of the region's best produce, reinforcing the "paddock to plate" philosophy here at Lake House. The cellar is standout with over 800 references and more than 10,000 bottles - it is regarded as one of Australia's most interesting and edgy wine lists.
The Salus Spa designed with blond wood and splashes of Tiffany blue, is surrounded by waterfall fed streams and completes the picture of this indulgent and blissful retreat.
The village itself is surrounded by several thousand hectares of state forest. Walking tracks through the Wombat State Forest alongside rivers, lakes and waterfalls yield frequent encounters with an abundance of Australian animals including wallabies, wombats and koalas.
