Description
Your international flights are based on British Airways First Class, and we can of course look at a variety of front-of-the-plane options for you on other airlines. We can also arrange this itinerary using private jets, or as some of our guests have done, you can bring your own.
Begin in Delhi at the iconic Imperial Hotel in a Deco Suite for 2 nights. This mesmerising suite reflects the bygone era of Lutyens Delhi and is the most interesting of the Imperial’s collection. Whilst in Delhi, you will be met by our personal representative who will talk through dinner reservations, places with head out afterwards, and will take you on a unique exploration of the city.
You are then driven to Agra, for a 1-night stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas in a Luxury Suite. Located on the 5th floor, these suites have unparalleled views over the Taj Mahal from your private open-air terrace (also great for al fresco meals), or if you feel extra indulgent, you can see it from your bathtub. In Agra, you can explore the Taj Mahal at sunrise and sunset, and also see some of the other amazing sights in the city such as the Agra Fort.
Next, drive into the countryside around Alwar and stay at Amanbagh in a Pool Pavilion, which are luxuriously appointed and intensely private. The area around Amanbagh offers an exclusive experience of rural India, from privately escorted walks, to dinner being prepared in local ruins surrounded by hundreds of diyas, or Indian candles. A journey to Rajasthan is simply incomplete without getting away from the cities and into the countryside to see the vibrant saris, local markets and stunning natural beauty.
The Rambagh Palace is your next home, and their Maharani Suite is the one to go for. Delicately furnished using the best of Rajput heritage fittings, the suite offers exuberance and style, with a dash of feminine style and sophistication. In Jaipur, you are taken around the city in vintage cars, once in the personal collection of the Maharaja. We also provide a personal shopper, given Jaipur is a Mecca for those after exotic purchases.
Fly to Jodhpur, where we suggest the Maharaja Suite at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, once the private chamber of the Maharaja and adored with more masculine undertones than your experience at the Rambagh Palace. Again, you will be escorted around Jodhpur in a private vintage car and will stop in the Mehrangarh Fort for champagne at sunset.
Finally, fly to Udaipur and stay in the iconic Lake Palace Hotel. We absolutely adore the Khush Mahal Suite, with its own swing, and possibly the most romantic room we know in the world. Again, your vintage car and personal guide will be on hand to take you around the city. We also suggest heading to Devi Garh for a private dinner in their Sheesh Mahal, accompanied by a personal sitar player. To top everything off, head out onto the lake by private boat being served canapés and sipping champagne as the sun sets over this wonderful city.
