Description

Using fully portable tents, Bespoke Luxury Camping is entirely customised for guests. You can choose whether to camp in the deserts of Wahiba Sands or the Empty Quarter, the mountains or on the beach. Every extra has been thought of and the service at the camp is second to none with a staff/guest ratio of at least 2:1.

Complete with Egyptian cotton sheets, feather pillows, colourful bedspreads, local carpets and bedside table with lanterns and cold drinking water, this is truly camping with a difference. Behind your tent, your loo and shower tent is fitted with a wooden loo, wash stand, shower set on a wooden base, cotton towels and toiletries.

As well as the bedroom tent there is a large seating tent beautifully lit by lamps and candles and furnished with colourful cushions and rugs. Enjoy relaxing here with a pre-dinner drink and some delicious snacks created by the chef.

Binoculars and night sky print-outs are provided for budding astrologers, boules, backgammon and of course a sheesha pipe complete the furnishings. The dining table is under the stars with glassware, china crockery and linen table cloth, the chef creates delicious meals from fresh local produce.

Accommodation

One Bedroom Tent, One Seating Tent and One Bathroom Tent make up the private camp. Tents feature Egyptian cotton sheets, feather pillows, colourful bedspreads, local carpets and a bedside table with lanterns and cold drinking water. Behind the tent, a loo and shower tent is fitted with a wooden loo, wash stand, shower set on a wooden base, cotton towels and toiletries.

Childcare

Families are welcome particularly older children who will get the best from the experience.

Facilities at the camp include a private chef, a dining table and a large seating tent lit by lamps and candles by night and furnished with colourful cushions and rugs.

Activities

Trips to explore the desert landscape by camel or horse races, dune-bashing and quad biking.

When to travel

The best time to visit Oman is between November and mid-March, when the cooler air brings the mountain scenery sharply into focus and daytime temperatures average 25°C. For the rest of the year, much of Oman is oppressively hot and hazy, particularly between May and August.

Bespoke Luxury Camp is located in the heart of Wahiba Sands among the rolling dunes of the desert, in complete isolation in the east of Oman.

How to get there

7.5-hour direct flight Muscat International Airport. The camp is approximately 3-hours by road from the airport.
