For those craving winter sun, there’s plenty on offer in February, as well as fabulous skiing in the Alps and North America. By now, the snow in the Alps and North American resorts is usually firmly established – perfect for skiing, especially for families wanting to take advantage at half term.

Alternatively, you could celebrate Chinese New Year - southern China is best in February. Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Cambodia are all wonderful too, as well as South Africa, and East Africa is great for safaris at this time – or for gorgeous African beaches, Zanzibar is a good choice.
