The Middle East provides a stark contrast between the modern cities of the Emirates, such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the traditional Bedouin way of life out in the desert. Oman’s wadis are lush oases in the middle of the arid desert, whilst beautiful Muscat lies between the mountains and the Arabian Sea. Located just below Saudi Arabia on the Arabian Penisula, Oman has a lively culture and famous rolling sand dunes. Meander through Muscat’s bustling souks, visit Sultan’s beautiful Palace, and head into the Wahiba Sands which has the stunning Wadi Gul with a 1km drop.

Dubai, situated in the United Arab Emirates, is both glamorous and extraordinary. A metropolis with a hazy desert backdrop, this glamourous city is popular with the rich and famous. Dubai offers many oppertunites, from the beaches in Jumeirah, dunes in the desert, to the shopping malls, indoor snow dome, and the atmospheric old town of Bur Dubair, which has many souks.
