Each of the five suites commands breathtaking natural ocean views while the large double height living room faces toward the infinity edge pool which appears to empty into the bay toward amazing sunsets. Graceful contemporary architecture comprised of a restrained palette of natural local materials provides a backdrop to the phenomenal natural setting. Streamlined white building forms rest in relaxing horizontal planes sparingly embellished with all of the luxurious comforts of custom designed hand-crafted furniture.
Each suite has a private balcony facing the ocean. The heart of the home is a two-level 1,700 sq ft. living, dining and entertaining area. Two living areas and a bar also share the modern space with a 14-seat home-theatre on the mezzanine. Sliding glass doors allow for the living area to be completely opened up to the garden, pool and sunsets.

Villa Luz sleeps up to 10 guests, in 5 air-conditioned rooms and suites, each (bar the one children's room) with a private balcony with breathtaking ocean views. The suites, designed in a fresh contemporary style, are entered via a courtyard full of fountains and cascades.

| Bedrooms 3 & 4 | One level below rooms 1 & 2. A very small, twin-bedded children's room (the only room facing north and not the ocean), separated from a smaller (than 1,2 or 5) doubled bedded room with veranda. Both rooms are independently air-conditioned. Shared bathroom has a walk-in shower. |
| Bedroom 5 | One level below bedrooms 3 & 4. Medium sized room, good size balcony with fabulous ocean view, black-out blinds, hard wood floors and silent air-conditioning. Bedside tables with good reading light. The most 'Brazilian' of the rooms and the most colourful. It is also the closest to the living room. |
Childcare
Children are welcome at Villa Luz but must be supervised at all times. There are lots of stairs and the outside steps are made of stone. In the living room the staircase from the main-door has an open handrail and the balcony also has an open sided handrail which affords no protection for children. The patio around the pool has a drop which increases towards the end of the pool. The drop by the jacuzzi and at the infinity lip is approx 10ft.
Facilities
Villa Luz has a swimming pool of approx. 14m x 4m, with 8 sun loungers, surrounded by a sandstone-tiled patio. A gazebo contains the open barbecue and a table for up to 8 diners on wooden stools. There is an outside lounge area with sofas and a fantastic inside lounge with arm chairs, a sofa and sound system, and great ocean views. The dining area has a table for 10 guests, a bar and wet bar with cocktail equipment. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a wine cellar, and a fantastic home cinema.
Activities
There are 23 different beaches on the Buzios peninsula, best explored with a rental beach buggy or from one of the schooners that tour the bays. Ferradura beach, 1km away, is great for swimming. Various activities can be arranged including golf, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, dingy sailing, surfing and surf lessons, diving, snorkelling, sea fishing, horse riding and biking. The old centre of Buzios has many bars, restaurants and shops and a vibrant nightlife.
Services
Villa Luz counts with a daily maid service (8am - 7pm), a full time local cook (8am - 9pm and available after for a small extra charge), and a full time English speaking concierge. A welcome hamper is provided on arrival. For an additional charge it is possible to arrange a professional chef, meals, drinks and staff overtime. Car hire, restaurant reservations and in-house spa treatments can also be arranged.
