Eagle’s Nest is an icon of Alpine luxury. Eagle's Nest revolutionised the chalet skiing holiday when it offered the first indoor swimming pool in a private chalet in 2002. Others have attempted to imitate Eagle's Nest but constant improvements mean that it continues to set the standard by which other chalets are measured.

As you arrive you are greeted by the bronze eagle, nearly 3 metres high and sculpted by Livio Benedetti who created the “Dame du Lac” you pass on the way to Val d’Isère. The chalet’s position, atop a rock with incredible views over Val d’Isère, and in the private estate, simply cannot be rivalled. The famous La Face piste is at the end of the road, making Eagle's Nest accessible on skis. Inside, beneath the surface of a beautiful, traditional alpine chalet is a super high tech property boasting a steam room, sauna, jetstream, Sonos integrated music system, flat screens and Playstation 3s in the bedrooms, and an outdoor hot tub.

Chalet Eagle's Nest is spread over four floors. At the top, the spacious living room is ideal for large groups and has vaulted ceilings, ample sofa space, a log fireplace and large sunny balconies. There is a separate mezzanine with flat screen and games consoles. Dining at the Eagle's Nest is unforgettable as fine wines, breathtaking views and a crackling log fire complement exquisite courses, beautifully prepared by your private chef.

On the ground floor is a small double room and the master suite which has outstanding views on 2 sides, a dressing room and wonderful bathroom decorated with Italian tiles. Descend another level and there are four double bedrooms all of which qualify as suites, as well as a single bedroom. All are beautifully furnished and en suite.

On the bottom floor, the fabulous Wellness area has wonderful views and integrated music. You can swim against the jetstream in the swimming pool and the sauna and steam room are perfect for soothing aching legs after skiing. All of our chalets are non-smoking.

Perhaps the best thing about Eagle’s Nest though is the authenticity. You need not be an expert in Savoyard antiques (although it helps) to see that the chalet is tastefully and beautifully decorated throughout. The chalet is constructed from antique timbers and every piece of furniture and every painting has been carefully selected for its alpine heritage, true to the roots of the quiet farming village of Val d’Isère.

Service is as important as the property and our Flagship service makes everything easy. We adapt to you and ensure that everything happens seamlessly. Champagne is always on ice, cocktails are mixed, skis and lift passes arrive without you noticing and your Scott Dunn driver is waiting for you as you finish your last run. Our speciality is making your stay memorable and special.

Eagle’s Nest is the last word in beautiful alpine luxury.

Chalet Eagle's Nest features two double bedrooms, four twin/double bedrooms and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have en-suite bath or shower rooms with antique wood finish and Italian tiles. Bathroom products are provided as well as fluffy towels and bathrobes. Bedrooms are well equipped audio visually - see individual rooms for details. Five of the seven rooms can accommodate cots or extra beds.

Scott Dunn pioneered skiing holidays with childcare and this is an optional extra that many families consider indispensable. We offer childcare from 4 months and ensure that children have the most fantastic holidays and that parents can completely relax with peace of mind that their family is in great hands. Your children can be taken to and collected from ski lessons and will be kept entertained with a varied and imaginative activity programme and given healthy home made lunches and snacks.

Our childcare staff are qualified professionals and guests at Eagle's Nest can choose between our exclusive children's club and our private nanny service. Babysitting is available too. A wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers can be provided to all guests on request, mostly free of charge.

The mezzanine has a 55 inch 3D Smart TV, Apple TV, Blu Ray HD DVD, Xbox 360, iPad and iPod dock. All bedrooms (except bedroom seven) have flat screen televisions with UK Freesat HD, DVD players. Music can be played throughout the chalet by the Sonos integral system.

The lower floor of the chalet has a Wellness centre with 7x5m indoor swimming pool with jet stream, sauna and steam room. In addition to the indoor Wellness, there is an outdoor hot tub outside the sitting room - the perfect place to enjoy a glass of champagne while enjoying the views over the village. On the ground floor is an office which is equipped with a PC and fax. The boot room area has racks, glove lockers and ski boot warmers.

Val d’Isère is a mecca for downhill skiing for good reason. It has enough to keep skiers of all standards challenged and entertained for a lifetime, let alone a week. The off piste potential is limitless and the snow record enviable.

Val d'Isère has plenty to offer less enthusiastic skiers too. The Centre Aquasportif has fantastic facilities including 2 swimming pools, climbing wall, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash courts and a Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths and hydro-massage.

Designated walking trails are a great way of appreciating the scenery and there is an ice rink, husky riding, parapenting, skidooing, cross country skiing and much more.

There is a wealth of quality restaurants in the village and on the mountain (many of which are accessible to non skiers). The shops and galleries offer some great shopping (both the window and the real varieties).

Eagle's Nest is complemented by our Flagship service. Our team pride themselves on their ability to ensure that every aspect of the service is seamless and to anticipate your every need. Your private chef will serve mouthwatering dishes from a menu tailored to your tastes. Your hosts will manage every aspect of your holiday, from restaurant bookings to ensuring a smart 4x4 vehicle is ready to take you skiing and keeping your glass topped up with a carefully chosen wine or perfectly mixed gin & tonic.

A la carte breakfast is served daily, gourmet dinners are offered on six nights and wine, Champagne and spirits are included. Our driver service is on hand with a fleet of 4x4s to whisk you around the resort.

Above all though, our Flagship service is personal and we will endeavour to make your stay your perfect holiday.

When to travel

Val d’Isère boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world because, unlike other resorts above 1800m, 80% of the skiing happens above 2000 metres. As a result, early and late season offer reliable great conditions. Being high, it is cold though and we think March and April are the best times to visit Val.
