No visit to Chengdu is complete without visiting China's most loved animal, the panda. Your day will begin with a visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It's an early start arriving at 8am when the pandas are most active. See how the adult and baby pandas are fed during before visiting the pandas' enclosures and visiting the museum to learn more.

Next, head to the Wenshu Temple, Chengdu's largest Buddhist temple originally built in Tang Dynasty but which later had many carvings from the Qing Dynasty added. Full of local worshippers burning incense on certain days, do some people watching and visit the tea house.

Finally, your tour will take you to Jinli Street, with its mix of old and new. Although having been renovated over the years, expect the traditional architectural style of Sichuan Province during the Qing Dynasty. Here appreciate Sichuan’s customs, street food and folk art performances before heading back to your hotel.
