Description
Land early morning and launch straight into the exciting city of Tokyo, a city that never sleeps and experience the bright lights of Shinjuku and pockets of old Japan such as Akakusa where hidden temples await exploration. Stay at the Peninsula, a fabulous contemporary property in the ideal location next to the Imperial Palace Gardens.
Board the world famous bullet train and ensure to sit of the right hand side for excellent views of Mount Fuji. Arrive in Kyoto, Japan’s cultural centre, to explore the hundreds of Shinto and Buddhist shrines and temples. For an authentic experience stay at Yoshikawa, a traditional Ryokan to enjoy an exquisite meal, usually of countless courses and incredible service. If one night on a futon style bed is enough check into the luxurious Hyatt Regency, in a great location for exploring during the remainder of your time in Kyoto. Take a private tour of Gion, the Geisha district and you may be lucky enough to spot a Geisha on her way to an appointment. For the ultimate experience we can arrange a private Geisha experience for you with dinner and entertainment.
Jump back on the super speed bullet train and head to Hakone National Park, a volcanic valley renowned for it’s hot springs and fantastic spa facilities. Stay at the exclusive Hakone Ginyu, which seamlessly blends Japanese and Indonesian influences in the design. If taking it easy in the Onsen (hot springs) here is too much for you there are plenty of places to visit including the Boiling Valley and Lake Ashi.
Return to Tokyo for a final night and in the early morning before your flight we recommend visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market as the sun rises to watch local fishermen haggle over enormous size tuna fish. The Conrad is perfectly positioned next to the fish market and the ideal place to end your holiday in Japan.

When to travel
Japan has four seasons, similar to the UK and is best visited in spring from March to May and autumn from September to November. December to January can be cold with snow and the summer is hot and humid. The end of March and early April is a particularly good time to visit as this is the cherry blossom season as is October for the autumn colours.
