Description
Eagle’s Nest is an icon of Alpine luxury. Eagle's Nest revolutionised the chalet skiing holiday when it offered the first indoor swimming pool in a private chalet in 2002. Others have attempted to imitate Eagle's Nest but constant improvements mean that it continues to set the standard by which other chalets are measured.
As you arrive you are greeted by the bronze eagle, nearly 3 metres high and sculpted by Livio Benedetti who created the “Dame du Lac” you pass on the way to Val d’Isère. The chalet’s position, atop a rock with incredible views over Val d’Isère, and in the private estate, simply cannot be rivalled. The famous La Face piste is at the end of the road, making Eagle's Nest accessible on skis. Inside, beneath the surface of a beautiful, traditional alpine chalet is a super high tech property boasting a steam room, sauna, jetstream, Sonos integrated music system, flat screens and Playstation 3s in the bedrooms, and an outdoor hot tub.
Chalet Eagle's Nest is spread over four floors. At the top, the spacious living room is ideal for large groups and has vaulted ceilings, ample sofa space, a log fireplace and large sunny balconies. There is a separate mezzanine with flat screen and games consoles. Dining at the Eagle's Nest is unforgettable as fine wines, breathtaking views and a crackling log fire complement exquisite courses, beautifully prepared by your private chef.
On the ground floor is a small double room and the master suite which has outstanding views on 2 sides, a dressing room and wonderful bathroom decorated with Italian tiles. Descend another level and there are four double bedrooms all of which qualify as suites, as well as a single bedroom. All are beautifully furnished and en suite.
On the bottom floor, the fabulous Wellness area has wonderful views and integrated music. You can swim against the jetstream in the swimming pool and the sauna and steam room are perfect for soothing aching legs after skiing.
Perhaps the best thing about Eagle’s Nest though is the authenticity. You need not be an expert in Savoyard antiques (although it helps) to see that the chalet is tastefully and beautifully decorated throughout. The chalet is constructed from antique timbers and every piece of furniture and every painting has been carefully selected for its alpine heritage, true to the roots of the quiet farming village of Val d’Isère.
Of course, in a chalet that is frequented by rock stars and royalty, service is as important as the property and our Flagship service makes everything easy. We adapt to you and ensure that everything happens seamlessly. Champagne is always on ice, cocktails are mixed, skis and lift passes arrive without you noticing and your Scott Dunn driver is waiting for you as you finish your last run. Our speciality is making your stay memorable and special.
Eagle’s Nest is the last word in beautiful alpine luxury.

Activities
Val d’Isère is a mecca for downhill skiing for good reason. It has enough to keep skiers of all standards challenged and entertained for a lifetime, let alone a week. The off piste potential is limitless and the snow record enviable.
Val d'Isère has plenty to offer less enthusiastic skiers too. The new Oxygen centre has fantastic facilities including 2 swimming pools, climbing wall, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash courts and a Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths and hydro-massage.
Designated walking trails are a great way of appreciating the scenery and there is an ice rink, husky riding, parapenting, skidooing, cross country skiing and much more.
There is a wealth of quality restaurants in the village and on the mountain (many of which are accessible to non skiers). The shops and galleries offer some great shopping (both the window and the real varieties).

When to travel
Val d’Isère boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world because, unlike other resorts above 1800m, 80% of the skiing happens above 2000 metres. As a result, early and late season offer reliable great conditions. Being high, it is cold though and we think March and April are the best times to visit Val.
