Amman & the Dead Sea
Amman is located between the desert and the Jordan Valley, and it’s the perfect base for visits to Jerash and the north. The ’Citadel’ houses Byzantine temples and Arabian palaces, and the glorious Roman amphitheatre, which can seat around 6000 people, is nestled on the hillside.
The Dead Sea is about an hour from Amman and is 400 metres below sea level, the lowest point on the Earth. Because of this, it’s rich in ozone, and the natural minerals that come from the Dead Sea are well known for their healing powers. The Dead Sea itself is so rich in salt that you float in a way you will never have experienced before.
