Description
Posada Salentein, located in Finca La Pampa, is a small lodge with just 16 individually decorated rooms in the stunning Valle de Uco area of Mendoza. Rooms are simple in design yet comfortable and cosy and they all feature a kitchenette.
There is a homely living room area with a fireplace, an adjoining dining room where excellent homemade meals are served and a lovely outdoor pool. The European owners have their own art collection on display throughout the property.
For recreation, Salentein offers visits and wine tastings at Bodega Salentein, horseback rides in Finca San Pablo, cooking classes, cycling and walks around the vineyards. It is also a charming place to relax and unwind in peace and quiet.
Accommodation
Posada Salentein has 16 double rooms divided amongst three houses - Los Sarmientos, Los Zarcillos and Los Racimos. The rooms are furnished in a simple, warm style and all are equipped with lcd tv, WiFi and kitchenette.
Childcare
Children are welcomed at Salentein although there are no specific facilities. Children can enjoy the outdoor pool and exploring the countryside.

Posada Salentein features a library, video/cd library, outdoor swimming pool, a dining room with views over the vineyards, stables nearby, onsite vineyards, the Killka art gallery and the Bodega Salentein winery.

Activities on offer at Salentein include guided wine tours of Bodega Salentein and local wineries, wine tastings, visit to Killka art gallery, horse riding at Finca San Pablo, cycling, vineyard walks, cooking lessons and relaxing by the pool.
When to travel
Year round destination but October to April is the best time to visit. The wine harvest or vendimia takes place typically early March and is a great time to visit, although bookings should be secured well in advance.

How to get there
1hour 50minute flight to Mendoza, followed by a 1.5hour road transfer to Posada Salentein.
