Housed within a madrasah, The Orient Star Khiva caters well to those seeking the local experience. The hotel is well-furnished and decorated to retain the primary objective of comfort whilst its central location allows easy exploration of the city.

Few hotels deliver a taste of local life as the Orient Star Khiva, which is housed in an actual madrasah, the Muhammad Aminkha madrasah. The rooms are refurbished from cells that used to house madrasah students, offering a slight glimpse of their lives when you stay at the hotel. Rooms are relatively well-furnished for the best available in Khiva, with basic amenities like air-conditioning, a TV with satellite channels, private bathrooms with a bath.  A restaurant and open-air café is available at the hotel as well.
