Hawaii is a year round destination with a tropical climate, with the very best months being April to September. Temperatures are high throughout the year but never excessive, as humidity levels are manageable. There is a rainy season from December to March which is also ironically, the tourism high season, when the scenery is at its most lush and long, hot days break up the rainy spells.

Insider's View

This is a great combination of islands; the buzz and culture of Oahu, awe-inspiring adventure on Big Island and the tropical dropback of Kauai. To extend this trip, there are easy connections to California, Las Vegas and Chicago to explore mainland USA.

We design each itinerary around you, so this suggested itinerary is a starting point that we can tweak or transform into something completely bespoke to you. Call us on 020 3993 8245 to start planning your holiday.

Spend a week exploring three beautiful islands of Hawaii and discover the island culture of Oahu, Big Island and Kauai. Visit Pearl Harbor on Oahu, fly over Big Island’s volcanoes and snorkel with manta rays, and explore Kauai’s stunning Na Pali coastline by boat.

  1. Days 1-2: Oahu

Upon arrival in Oahu, you will be met and whisked away to your modern, hip hotel on Waikiki Beach. Spend the evening watching the surfers at sunset and enjoying beachside dining. The following morning, you will be picked up for a private guided tour of historic Pearl Harbour. Take in the USS Arizona Memorial and see the USS Bowfin first hand. After your guided tour, you will transfer to the airport for your short flight over to awe-inspiring Big Island.

Accommodation: The Modern Honolulu (1 night)

  2. Days 2-4: Big Island

Touch down on Hawaii's largest island, also known as Big Island and head to your hotel on the glistening Kohala Coast. You'll spend the next two nights relaxing on sandy shores, with the hotel set amongst lush tropical gardens and perched on the oceanfront. You can acquaint yourself with the fascinating wildlife as we have included a night snorkelling experience with manta rays to see these beautiful creatures illuminated against the backdrop of the dark ocean.  With the molten flowing lava of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park a main attraction, we’ve included an exhilarating three-hour helicopter tour for a bird's eye view of the island and over the summit of Mauna Kea, with a remote landing in the heart of the Kohala rainforest to explore from the ground.

Accommodation: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel (2 nights)

  3. Days 4-6: Kauai

Your final stop is the spectacular 'Garden Isle', where azure ocean waters meet the dramatic cliffs of the towering, tropical Na Pali coastline. This is the oldest island and offers great opportunities for adventurous activities. With tropical rainforests and cascading waterfalls, the island offers dramatic scenery as well as outdoor adventure including kayaking on the Wailua River, hiking in Kokee State Park and zip lining. We have included a shared boat trip during your stay, so you can explore the breath-taking Na Pali coastline and enjoy snorkelling and swimming from a luxury catamaran.  Your stay on Kauai is all about exploring a unique landscape and Hawaii's natural wonders, before returning home or travelling onwards to your next destination.

    Accommodation: Koa Kea (2 nights)
