Bike the Haleakala Volcano
Head up very early and watch the sun rise over the crater at Haleakala's 10,023 foot summit. It's a spectacular view that should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
A guided van tour takes you to the entrance of Haleakala National Park and from there you are free to ride. View into the world's largest dormant volcano and beyond to the Big Island of Hawaii. Then ride down the slopes of Haleakala, continuing through the switchbacks for 26 miles.
Bike rides can be guided or self guided and are recommended for confident cyclists and not beginners. Minimum age is 12 years and riders must be at least 4 ft 10 inches in order to participate.
All trips include free round trip transportation to and from your hotel, complimentary coffee, juice, Columbia Sportswear windbreaker pants and jacket, helmet and Volcano Chrome Cruiser Bikes.
The sunrise bike tour means a very early start, 3am normally, arriving back at around 11am.
The day bike tour departs at 8am, returning around 2-3pm.
