Hawaii is a year round destination with a tropical climate, with the very best months being April to September. Temperatures are high throughout the year but never excessive, as humidity levels are manageable. There is a rainy season from December to March which is also ironically, the tourism high season, when the scenery is at its most lush and long, hot days break up the rainy spells.

Itinerary

Day 1-4

Union Square, San Francisco, California, United States of America

Starting in the incredible iconic city of San Francisco, spend three nights exploring the streets of Nob Hill, wandering Haight-Ashbury and chowing down on the freshest seafood around at Fisherman’s Wharf. Hop on board an iconic cable car, cycle over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, visit Alcatraz Island, dine out in Chinatown or head out to the bay on a speedboat for a unique view of the city skyline. There’s plenty to do here, all certain to delight travelers of any age.

After your time in San Francisco, make your way to the airport for the domestic hop across to Big Island, to start your Hawaiian Adventure.

Accommodation: The St. Regis San Francisco ( 3 nights )
Day 4-7

Big Island, Hawaii, United States of America

Arrive on the Big Island and be privately transferred to your luxurious beachfront resort. The following morning, orient yourself with a private helicopter survey of the Big Island. Admire the stark contrast between the island’s barren lava fields and its lush tropical rainforests as you keep an eye out for the day’s volcanic activity. After dinner, take advantage of Hawaii’s famously clear skies as you look through a telescope with a local astronomer during a private stargazing workshop.

Head to a private nature reserve amongst Kohala’s rugged valleys and scenic coastlines for a guided rainforest hike. Cool off with a swim under a cascading waterfall, then delight in a picnic lunch with soaring views. In the evening, take in picture-perfect views of the setting sun over a champagne toast during a private sailing excursion. If you’re lucky, you might see a gentle manta ray gliding under the boat!

Accommodation: Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection ( 3 nights )
Day 7-10

Maui, Hawaii, United States of America

Depart the Big Island after breakfast and fly to Maui. Touch down in the town of Hana and transfer to your hotel to settle in. The next morning, meet your guide to set off on a tour of the Road to Hana, in reverse! Enjoy a customizable program along this iconic route, stopping to visit hidden waterfalls, black sand beaches and spectacular overlooks.

The following morning, rise early and hop in a kayak to glide across the pristine glassy waters of “Turtle Town,” then strap on a mask and take the plunge to observe these gentle creatures in their natural coral reef habitat. Break for lunch, then embark on a private tour of Haleakala National Park. On the slopes of this massive dormant volcano sacred to the native Hawaiians, join your guide to get off the beaten path and explore some of the park’s lesser-visited trails and sites.

Accommodation: Montage Kapalua Bay ( 3 nights )
Day 10-13

Lanai, Hawaii, United States of America

Bid farewell to Maui and travel to the nearby island of Lanai by private speed boat. Here you will learn about ancient Hawaiian mythology as you visit iconic natural sites such as the Garden of the Gods, Shipwreck Beach, and Sweetheart Rock during a guided private tour of the island.

The following day after plenty of time to relax and enjoy the resort, you will engage in a fun-filled aerial obstacle course at the one-of-a-kind Lanai Adventure Park. Fly on thrilling ziplines and navigate the park’s daunting two-story aerial adventure tower during your private experience.
