Visit Leopold's Ice Cream Parlour
Serving delicious homemade ice cream and soda fountains since 1919, Leopold's is an institution in Savannah, loved by locals and visitors alike. Indulge in signature flavors and tussle over banana splits, ice cream sandwiches or hot fudge sundaes.
Founded by three brothers from Greece in 1919, Leopold's has stood for almost a century in the heart of Savannah. Their ice cream parlour was legendary and the shop was always a popular destination for locals after concerts, high school dances or sporting events.
Today, the parlour is still owned by the Leopold family and is managed by Stratton Leopold and his wife. Most famed for producing films such as Mission Impossible III, Stratton often swaps his hollywood lifestyle for his childhood one, and when he isn't shooting for a film, he can be found behind the soda fountain scooping ice cream and making milkshakes for his loyal customers.
The ice cream served at Leopold's is all hand crafted using original recipes and techniques handed down the family through generations, and an expert chef is always on hand preparing the toppings from scratch. Enjoy the family friendly atmosphere, indulge in your favorite ice cream and revel in the experience of a traditional 1950s ice cream parlour.
