Plantation Visit

Magnolia Plantation is one of the best plantations for families. With a variety of interactive tours each day, guests can learn about 18th century plantation life, wildlife and nature of South Carolina and the history of slavery in the state. When you're not on a tour, wander beautifully manicured gardens and visit the petting zoo.

Boone Hall is an iconic Carolina plantation with the famous image of a driveway lined with live oak trees. This spectacular approach sends you back in time and pre-empts the historic nature of the plantation you're about to explore. Discover Gullah culture with a performance in the Gullah Theatre, take a house tour of the mansion that still stands today, or visit the Black History in America exhibit, a critically acclaimed self guided tour of original slave cabins. Drayton Hall is a well-preserved antebellum mansion with beautifully manicured grounds and a fascinating African-American cemetery. The 18th century mansion is home to rare art collections and historical artifacts. It is a particularly interesting plantation to visit as the house has never been resorted, so the materials and designs of its current standing are all original and a dedicated team of people work hard each day to help preserve this incredible landmark.
