Kohala Ditch Kayaking
Departing from the village of Hawi in the North of Big Island, your adventure will take you through this fascinating system that once supplied millions of gallons of fresh water to the vast sugar cane plantations of Kohala. On a leisurely kayak, float through 3 miles of the system you will have a rare opportunity to access lush private lands, streams, waterfalls and other natural wonders kapu (forbidden) to all except Flumin Kohala.
The adventure lasts around 3 hours. You will get wet so dress appropriately and in closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Personal flotation devices and rain ponchos can be provided if required. Suitable for anyone over the age of 5.
