Hiking to Red Lake from Winterlake Lodge

Hiking along the old trap line trail will bring you towards Red Lake where you may be fortunate enough to spy moose, black bears, swans and loons. Board a canoe and explore the lake, fishing for grayling as you go and paddling across to join the Iditarod Trail which loops all the way back to the lodge. The forest is filled with ripe fruits and berries so try your hand at foraging as you go with the help of your guide.
