Day 3 - Safari Endeavour - John Muir's Wilderness
As recently as 1795, the entirety of Glacier Bay National Park was covered in ice, making this area fascinating geologically, as well as spectacularly beautiful with impressive glaciers still a major attraction. Enjoy a guided hike at Bartlett Cove to discover the history of the land before being joined by a National Park ranger who will help point out colonies of puffins, guillemots and cormorants on South Marble Island. Get up close to the towering faces of the Grand Pacific and Margerie glaciers as they sparkle blue in the sunlight, cruising deeper into the park just as Muir did. Today's scenery is truly spectacular; make sure your camera is charged and you are dressed up warm to make the most of it!
