San Francisco is a year-round destination but has a cool maritime climate. In the summer, the city’s famous fog rolls in mornings and evenings, creating a misty chill in the air. Spring sees the end of the rainy season, and the city’s pretty-in-pink cherry blossom trees dot the landscape. In Fall Indian Summer comes to San Francisco, bringing warm, dry days with plenty of sunshine. The very best time of year is August to October when temperatures are at their highest and days are often sunny.

The Hotel Vitale is ideally located on the Embarcadero offering superb views overlooking the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. With a contemporary yet understated design, the hotel blends location and style perfectly.
With 200 rooms, the Vitale isn’t really a boutique hotel, yet certainly feels like one. The hotel has won many design awards, blending earthy, neutral colors to create an unassuming yet tastefully interesting feel.
Vitale has a privileged location overlooking the Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building, a former transport hub turned gourmet emporium. One Ferry building has an amazing market on Saturday mornings, foodie delights are then served from morning until night inside the market hall the rest of the week.

This does get very busy so we would recommend booking a table over the weekend period. The Americano Restaurant is also a great place to enjoy a healthy breakfast or a long larger brunch at the weekends
The hotel's pride and joy is its spa which has many different treatments and uses some of the highest quality lotions and potions. The best part about it is the bathtubs on the roof, don't worry they are private!

Vitale is ideally located to explore the city, take the trolley to Union Square or go on the F line up to Fisherman's Wharf. San Francisco is incredibly easy to navigate by foot, bicycle, bus, trolley or taxi. It’s also a gateway to the nearby wine country of the Napa Valley.
In downtown San Francisco you can browse art galleries, visit bustling Chinatown, go to the Jazz quarter, visit the Academy of Sciences for the planetarium and aquarium, get a handle on the geography by climbing one of the city’s famed hills or take the cable car, go shopping in the fashion epi-center Union Square, board a bay cruise at Fisherman’s Wharf to take it all in from the water or book ahead to visit Alcatraz Island, take a stroll across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and lunch in charming Sausalito.

The Hotel Vitale location, close to the embarcadero, offers opportunities for great food, runs on the bay side, farmers market on Saturday mornings and a break away from the rush of central San Francisco. The boutique hotel has a natural theme throughout and offers excellent views of Bay Bridge from its rooms and its two terraces outside. Conveniently, there is also a trolley stop outside which goes to Union Square, Chinatown and Fishermans Warf.

A light bright and welcoming lobby with great friendly service. The bar restaurant is fantastic amazing waterfront views with lots of atmosphere. Breakfast was a real highlight here, with lots of delicious options. A definite go-to for San Francisco.

A very well located hotel, right opposite the one Ferry building which has some great little shops and lots of things going on. You can easily walk from here up to Fisherman's Wharf or get the F tram; in fact you can walk most places you want to go from here, it just depends whether you are in a hurry or not! The hotel rooms are great, I would recommend a Bay view room where you can see the Bay bridge and the Golden gate bridge.
