Average time to visit
Like most California destinations, you can’t go wrong when picking a time of year to visit. Being inland, Napa Valley benefits from much higher summer temperatures than the cool coast, and is a year-round destination but best from April to October.
At the vineyards, September is typically the harvest month, although some varieties may be picked through October and November. Vineyards will be bare from December through February, with new buds returning in March and coming into full bloom by June.
Summer temperatures reach up to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and cool off to about 50 in the evenings, so you’ll want to bring a variety of clothes and dress in layers. Winter highs are around 60 degrees with lows occasionally just below freezing. The region averages around 200 days of sunshine per year, so you should have plenty of good weather to enjoy the outdoors.

Bardessono is made up of 62 luxurious guest rooms in downtown Yountville, an enclave at the center of the Napa Valley that's made a name for itself as the culinary hub of the region. Not to be missed out, the hotel's restaurant The Lucy serves up some of the most imaginative field-to-fork cuisine we've ever tasted.
Each of the hotel's 62 guest rooms surround a series of four landscape courtyards, the guest rooms are at the cutting edge of custom, high-tech design living. Technology is very sleek, a little 'James Bond' in places with remote control blinds, lighting and music systems and everything is built to last. With open living spaces and generous amounts of natural light and a luxurious bathroom, gas fireplace and private furnished courtyard or balcony, guest rooms are a sanctuary of relaxation. The hotel is one of just three hotel's in the US to be LEED Platinum certified, a prestigious award that demonstrates a hotel that offer the most luxurious of guest experiences, whilst being extremely green at the same time.
Lucy's Bar and Restaurant offers ingredient driven, farm, ocean, field-to-fork cuisine that embodies the hotel's modern aesthetic and eco-spirit. Chef Victor Scargle and his team operate under a culinary philosophy ruled by the seasons, with an emphasis on local production and sourcing and all the chefs work in the garden. Named after Lucy, the mother of the Bardessono family, guests are invited to wonder around Lucy's garden and taste the ingredients and produce that is growing there from salad vegetables, herbs, to fig fruits to Stevia (a natural sweetener that is used in the Lucy Bar's cocktails).
The Spa at Bardessono also has a focus on nature, each treatment is designed around the needs of the season. Whether it is to enhance your immune system and circulation or to renew and purify come spring. In summer, refresh, cool and soothe or relieve stress and restore balance in the body. Spa treatments are prepared and carried out in-room in guest personal spa's.
The rooftop pool for lounging and dining is wonderful for unwinding in the sun, and hosts renowned Wednesday night cocktail parties throughout the summer for guests and local Napa wine makers join the party.

Each of the 62 earth-toned suites have a private landscaped courtyard and indoor shower, and nearly half have outdoor showers as well. Egyptian cotton linens, Fiore bath products and custom art and furnishings are carefully chosen.

Families are welcomed and the King Queen Spa Suites make perfect family residences with two beds and separate televisions and sound systems, headphones provided. The Tufa Suites also have a King size bed and additional sofa bed that can accommodate multiple guests.

The extensive wine list highlights renowned small producers from around the world and many organic, sustainable and biodynamic vintners. A luxurious high end modern hotel that oozes class from the moment you arrive. The lobby feels like an art studio! Rooms are high spec high end modern. The emphasis here is on green living and being environmentally focussed air con and amenities in rooms turn off after not being active for 30 minutes and self regulate to conserve power. An incredibly classy hotel in the center of Yountville.
