Average time to visit
Uganda can be visited at any time of year. Most of Uganda enjoys the perfect tropical climate. Temperatures average about 26°C during the day and 16°C at night. The best time to visit is usually July to February. The hottest months are from December to February. There is higher humidity between March and May, when the long rains fall, and the short rains fall from early October to mid December.

Days 1-2: Entebbe
Your itinerary starts in Entebbe, where you have a one-night stay in anticipation of tomorrow's adventure. Unwind by the turquoise waters of the swimming pool, explore the nearby botanical gardens or relax with dinner overlooking Lake Victoria.

Days 2-4: Kibale Forest, Uganda
This morning you will embark on your journey to Kibale through interesting towns and villages on a private transfer. In Kibale you will have the chance to trek through the forest in search of its most famous inhabitant, the chimpanzee. Join your expert guide and explore the forest's paths, keeping your eyes peeled for not just the chimpanzee, but also bush pig and forest elephant. Walk through Bigodi Swamp in search of a variety of monkey and the great blue turaco, amongst many other bird species in this expansive wetland.

Days 4-6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
From Kibale, drive up to Queen Elizabeth National Park and head for the Ishasha region, in the remote, southern sector of the park. Drier than the north of the park, this woodland area is home to the exquisite tree-climbing lion. Here you can experience safari from the comfort of your private vehicle, and look out for elephant, buffalo and of course the park's lion. Other activities available include a cruise on the Kazinga channel home to vast numbers of hippos, elephants, crocodiles and impressive numbers of birds, as well as intimate bush breakfasts and dinners.

Days 6-9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
After a final game drive, travel down to the south-western corner of Uganda, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the famous mountain gorilla. This is one of the few places in the world where you can trek to see the elusive mountain gorilla in its natural habitat, as Bwindi contains around half of the world's population of this endangered species. A once in a lifetime opportunity, watch as the families interact and the infants play in their forest home. When you are not out enjoying your gorilla trekking experience, get to know the vibrant local community that borders this National Park on an educational village visit or take nature walks in the dense lush forest. At the end of your adventure you will fly back to Entebbe by light charter to catch your flight home.
