No visit to Spain is complete without getting under the skin of its three major cities: Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. On this perfect first-time itinerary, discover Spain's most iconic landmarks, its vibrant culture and its mouth-watering culinary scene.

  1. Fly to Barcelona

  2. Days 1-4: Barcelona, Spain

Begin your trip in Barcelona, the cultural capital of the north, where Gothic spires and Gaudi masterpieces meet contemporary architecture. Culture lovers will delight in Barcelona's wealth of fascinating art and architecture, from the iconic Sagrada Familia to the winding streets of the Gothic Quarter. Spend three nights in the heart of the city, exploring all that Barcelona has to offer.

Join your private guide to admire the medieval architecture of the Gothic Quarter and discover the history of this picturesque neighborhood. Art lovers could also visit Park Guell to explore the vibrant and surreal work of Antoni Gaudi, before continuing to Casa Batllo and Casa Mila, known locally as La Pedrera. For foodies, Barcelona is bursting with delicious dining options, from Michelin-starred restaurants to quaint, local tapas bars.

    Accommodation: Almanac Barcelona (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-7: Madrid

Close to Madrid is the historic city of Toledo, which is also well worth visiting on a day trip. Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities thrived side-by-side for centuries and the resulting landmarks reflect the city's diversity.
