1. Fly to Cuzco (via Lima)

2. Days 1-4: Sacred Valley

   Begin by flying to Cuzco and transferring into the Sacred Valley to relax at the Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado, amongst beautiful rural scenery and traditional Andean villages. This is a great spot to acclimatise to the altitude and take in some gentle exploration of the local markets, Inca sites and stunning Andean landscapes. Continue by the luxurious Inca Rail train to Machu Picchu to witness this magical ancient citadel with a private guide, continuing to Cuzco.

3. Days 4-6: Cusco

4. Days 6-9: Andean Explorer train to Puno

During your three nights here, be sure to visit the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians and make the most of the included excursions which include hikes around the lake and kayaking on its mirror-like waters.

5. Days 9-10: Lima

   Lima, the gastronomic capital of South America, beckons for a night, as you stay at the Belmond Miraflores Park Hotel, ideally located overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy some superlative seafood on a foodie tour of the city and take in a traditional pena in the trendy Barranco district.

6. Days 10-14: Iquitos
