The rainy summer season lasts from June to October, when it can be very hot and humid. The best month to visit the Pacific Coast is November, when the surrounding countryside is verdant after the summer rains. January and February is whale-watching season. Come between November and March to see nesting and hatching turtles, from December to March if you want to watch dolphins and whales, or in April to spot giant manta rays. Mexico City can be visited year-round.

By day wander through peaceful gardens with fountains, drink in the extraordinary views by the pool, saddle up on a thoroughbred horse for a ride you will never forget, enjoy a private tour of the hacienda’s mountain coffee estate, or visit one of the impossibly pretty nearby colonial villages.
