Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The Southwest has a desert climate moderated by altitude, with cool to cold winters and warm to hot summers, and plenty of sunshine year-round. Spring and Fall enjoy mild days and cool nights whilst the summer months from June to August provide hot days and pleasant evenings. Winter is marked by crisp days and cold evenings, with occasional light snow fall.  July and August are typically very warm but still a good time to visit but to avoid the hottest summer months plan your visit between April and May of September and October.

Itinerary

Discover the raw beauty of the Desert Southwest on this whirlwind tour of America's canyonland. We're jam-packing your time in the Wild West with adventurous activities, moments for discovery and opportunities for exploration at every turn.

  1. Days 1-4: Zion National Park

Begin your journey as soon as you touch down in Las Vegas with a short drive to the red rocks of Zion National Park. You'll spend three unforgettable nights glamping under the stars and two full days exploring the wonders of the park at length. Peaceful and fairly remote, you'll wake with a morning coffee on your patio and admire the beautiful scenery that surrounds you before getting ready for the day ahead. Take the car into the park and head out on your own hikes with a picnic lunch, or choose to go on a private tour with a guide to help you reach those lesser known spots. Included is a full day hike in Zion National Park with a private guide.

Accommodation: Zion National Park Glamping (3 nights)

  2. Days 4-5: Monument Valley

Your next stop will be the iconic Monument Valley, where cowboys once reigned and horse-drawn wagons were the preferred mode of transport. A true highlight of any Southwest itinerary, Monument Valley will offer you an insight into authentic Navajo culture.

Accommodation: The View Monument Valley (1 night)

  3. Days 5-7: Lake Powell

The next day, take the drive to Lake Powell, a stunning oasis in the heart of America's Wild West. Offering pristine lake shores perfect for water-sports, surrounding canyon scenery ideal for exploration and plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs, Lake Powell is one of our favorite destinations in Utah. Spend your time here visiting the incredible Antelope Canyon, Rainbow Bridge or kayaking along the water to hidden canyon slots. With watersports and boat trips at your finger tips, there is no better place to experience adventurous activities.

Accommodation: Lake Powell Resort (2 nights)

  4. Days 7-9: Las Vegas

Your final stop will be the bright lights of Las Vegas. A bucket list destination for many people, Vegas is likely to offer an unforgettable experience. Spend your days hitting the shops and restaurants of this bustling city or taking a heli-flight to the Grand Canyon. Included is a Cirque du Soleil show in downtown Las Vegas.
