  • The capital of Thailand, Bangkok is a great place to start your honeymoon. Crammed with fabulous restaurants, shops, museums and galleries, this city truly offers something for everyone.

  • From Hanoi in northern Vietnam, you will be able to easily visit the world-famous Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its iconic limestone karsts.

  • Laos is certainly a lesser known and less traveled country in South East Asia, but we thoroughly recommend taking the time to visit the stunning hill town of Luang Prabang. Quiet, romantic and set amongst untouched natural scenery, this is perfect for honeymooners.

  • No trip to Indochina would be complete without stopping to pay a visit to the magnificent temples at Angkor in Cambodia, including Angkor Wat. Stay in Siem Reap just a few minutes drive from the complex and enjoy the vibrant markets and lively nightlife of this fun little town.

  • Finish up on the beach of your own private island off Cambodia's little-developed coast. Go island hopping around the Koh Rong Archipelago, snorkel, enjoy some watersports or just relax at the spa.

Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Cambodia and Laos are hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Laos and Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water. Vietnam has three different weather systems; generally the South follows Cambodia and Laos' weather pattern with their dry season ending a little earlier in March. The central coast is at its best from April to September with July and August when it is at its hottest. North Vietnam is dry and warm from March to June and October to November, although May and June can get very humid and hot. July to September is very wet, and December to February is cool and drizzly.

We design each itinerary around you, so this suggested itinerary is a starting point that we can tweak or transform into something completely bespoke to you. To start planning your vacation

Escape from the rest of the world with an exclusive two-week trip around Indochina, soaking up all the romance and adventure of the Orient as you journey together from the electric city of Bangkok to Vietnam and Laos, and to see the abandoned Angkor temples, before finishing off with a luxurious stay on a private island resort in Cambodia.

  1. Days 1-3: Bangkok

Your adventure starts in Bangkok where you can stay right in the heart of this bustling city and alongside your enthusiastic guide you can visit famous landmarks such as Wat Pho and the Royal Palace before venturing by boat along the ‘klongs’, the canals which form a tangled lattice of waterways throughout the city and are home to a host of floating markets and fascinating local life.

Accommodation: COMO Metropolitan Bangkok (2 nights)

  2. Days 3-5: Hanoi

From Bangkok you fly to Hanoi, the charming capital in the north of Vietnam. You will have plenty of time to explore on your own, but we have included a guided tour of the city with a local guide, who will be able to bring you to the most famous sites in the town, as well as show you the fascinating backstreets of the Old Quarter, home to crumbling coffee houses and narrow wooden houses inwardly leaning over the winding alleyways.

    Accommodation: The Apricot (2 nights)

  3. Days 5-6: Halong Bay

An early start in the morning of your fifth day to embark on the four-hour drive or exciting four-hour sea plane flight to the world famous Halong Bay. Here you will spend the afternoon cruising between the soaring limestone karsts and perhaps exploring a local village by kayak. In the evening, escape to the top deck to enjoy a private moment together under the stars.

Accommodation: Heritage Line - Violet (1 night)

  4. Days 6-9: Luang Prabang

Return to Hanoi Airport for a flight over the border to the small and tranquil town of Luang Prabang, nestled in the mountains of central Laos. Perfect for honeymooners, this town is a romantic and dreamy paradise, filled with gleaming temples with traditional low sweeping roofs and pensive monks clad in saffron robes walk the streets. Luang Prabang is tiny with practically no traffic, perfect to explore together on foot or bicycle, but we have included for you a full day tour to reveal the major highlights such as the Royal Palace, Wat Xiengthong and the fascinating Ethnology Center. We have also included a trip to the impossibly blue Kuang Si waterfall, home to a series of calm natural swimming pools that lead up to the thundering might of the main cascade. Scramble to the top to marvel at the tropical landscape in front of you as the water falls away beneath your feet.

Accommodation: Avani+ Luang Prabang (3 nights)

  5. Days 9-12: Siem Reap & Angkor Wat

From Luang Prabang it’s a short flight to Cambodia, your final country on this trip. Three nights will be enough time to explore both the abandoned and overgrown temples in the world-famous Angkor Complex, as well as the lively town of Siem Reap, the gateway to the park. Our expert guides take you away from the crowds for a full day of temple exploration, leading you to lesser known and far-flung ruins in the morning, and to meet the mysterious faces at Bayon in Angkor Thom. No trip to Cambodia is complete without an early start to watch the sun rise over the iconic Angkor Wat, and to see the morning light bleeding into the reflecting pools surrounding it.

Accommodation: Shinta Mani Angkor (3 nights)

  6. Days 12-15: Coastal Cambodia

Finally, your honeymoon draws to a close with an exclusive three night stay at on one of Cambodia’s private islands. You can take walks on the beach, indulge in spa treatments, and if you are lucky, swim under shooting stars amongst the bio-luminescent plankton that sometimes blooms in that area. After an unforgettable trip, you can spend some perfect quality time together before it’s time to head home.

Accommodation: Six Senses Krabey Island (3 nights)
