Description

The Cervo Mountain Resort in Zermatt is situated on the edge of the forest and the outskirts of the village, with spectacular views of the Matterhorn. A mixture of Alpine chalet and hunting lodge the Cervo is a chic and relaxing place to stay.

The 4* Cervo Mountain Resort overlooks the village and is a lovely spot to take in the delights of Zermatt with hiking trails starting at its doorstep.

The hotel has five separate chalets of between five to 11 rooms, each with their own spa. The chalets can be taken separately or as a whole. For privacy and exclusivity, the Cervo's Owners Lodge is a cosy retreat sleeping up to six people, and is ideal for special occasions or family groups, where meals can be taken either in the chalet or in the restaurant. With panoramic windows, a private terrace with views of the Matterhorn and an outdoor whirlpool, it's one of Zermatt's secret gems.

The central chalet is the hub of the hotel with a buzzing bar and lounge, lit by candles, and great for socialising after a fulfilling day in the mountains. The Cervo Puro restaurant serves contemporary Alpine cuisine with a Northern Italian influence and is ideal to relax over a long lunch on the sunny terrace with fabulous views of the Matterhorn. Alternatively the Ferdinand restaurant is a real treat for cheese lovers with specialties including fondue, raclette and a table barbecue.

The rooms are contemporary and all have a balcony and view of the Matterhorn. Junior Suites have a separate lounge, and the Master Suites also have a dining area and kitchenette. Each chalet enjoys a separate spa area with a relaxation room, steam room, sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi and massage room.

The Cervo enjoys a convenient location in the resort, with its own lift linking to the entrance of the Sunnegga funicular. Lying at an altitude of 1620 meters and at the foot of the world-renowned Matterhorn the resort is surrounded by an additional 38 majestic peaks. Due to its southerly location, Zermatt shares part of its border with Italy and thus enjoys a mild climate with extended periods of sunshine. Although a beautiful and internationally renowned spot with numerous hotels, restaurants, bars and elegant shops, Zermatt has never lost any of its village charm and both in summer and winter remains an ideal spot for an active, refreshing or relaxing vacation.

Waller party, Feb 2013 (Guest)

All great, loved the Cervo. People, ambience, food, facilities, room. Dining was exceptionally good. Only small challenges were navigating across the piste from block 5 for breakfast and domination of aprs ski bar by non residents late afternoon. But would go back anytime, lovely place and lovely hotel team. Many thx to Charlotte for the recommendation and Lucie for looking after us so nicely in the resort. Please also convey our appreciation to the Cervo team.

Haley party, April 2013 (Guest)

The resort Rep in Zermatt (Lucie) was excellent. Probably the best rep we have encountered in our vacations so far. Well informed, helpful but not intrusive and the level of service she provided helped make our vacation extra special. Her restaurant and activity recommendations were spot on and nothing was too much trouble when we asked for help with bookings advice on the resort etc. Lucie is a valuable asset to your company! This was our first Scott Dunn vacation and we will definitely be booking another with our children next time.

They cannot do more here to make sure your stay is truly memorable and the attention to detail and service is top notch. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing! As was the hot tub over looking the views down to town.
