The village itself is a pleasure to explore, whether on foot or in a horse-drawn carriage, with a wealth of shops, restaurants and historic buildings to enjoy. Exploring the mountain is also straightforward with mountain railways and some wonderful trails, whether on foot or wheels. If you would like a really close view of the Matterhorn, a helicopter flight around it is truly breathtaking.
Zermatt is much more of a cultural center than many other resorts. The Matterhorn Museum is a must-see with fascinating exhibits and the English church is a highlight.
There are also plenty more active possibilities including the fitness center, indoor tennis and squash, gym, heli-skiing, ice skating, paragliding, stunning walking tours, gorge adventures, ice climbing and tobogganing.
Waller party, Feb 2013 (Guest)
All great, loved the Cervo. People, ambience, food, facilities, room. Dining was exceptionally good. Only small challenges were navigating across the piste from block 5 for breakfast and domination of aprs ski bar by non residents late afternoon. But would go back anytime, lovely place and lovely hotel team. Many thx to Charlotte for the recommendation and Lucie for looking after us so nicely in the resort. Please also convey our appreciation to the Cervo team.

The resort Rep in Zermatt (Lucie) was excellent. Probably the best rep we have encountered in our vacations so far. Well informed, helpful but not intrusive and the level of service she provided helped make our vacation extra special. Her restaurant and activity recommendations were spot on and nothing was too much trouble when we asked for help with bookings advice on the resort etc. Lucie is a valuable asset to your company! This was our first Scott Dunn vacation and we will definitely be booking another with our children next time.

They cannot do more here to make sure your stay is truly memorable and the attention to detail and service is top notch. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing! As was the hot tub over looking the views down to town.
Dinner with the stars in Zermatt
A breathtaking view with unrivalled scenery, the sunset dinner in Gornergrat includes an impressive ride on the highest open-air cogwheel train in Europe, followed by dinner on the terrace under the stars.
If you are flying into Switzerland and taking the train to your chosen destination, take the hassle of struggling with all those extra bags and FlyRail them all the way to the railway station, where they can be collected at your leisure.
Billed as the highest glacier palace in the world, this ethereal attraction is well worth a visit. Mysterious sounds accompany you as you discover this glacial world, and there's even an ice slide.
