Centrally located in Ho Chi Minh City, the stylish Hotel Des Arts Saigon provides a retreat from the hustle and bustle, whilst boasting the city's trendiest rooftop bar and pool. Quirky yet refined design makes this a city hotel with a difference.
With a name like Hotel Des Arts, it is perhaps not surprising that much of what makes the hotel unique is its decor and design. The hotel combines Colonial elegance with modern flourishes, and the walls are lined with paintings and antiques, selected from the owner's own personal art collection.
The facilities at Hotel Des Arts also embrace this eclectic combination. Enjoy afternoon tea accompanied by music from the grand piano in the ground-floor Café des Beaux Arts, before heading to the rooftop Social Club Bar, where you can sip on a delicious cocktail and listen to chill-out tracks played by a DJ as the sun goes down. The hotel's rooftop boasts the highest bar and infinity pool in the city, and provides fantastic views across Saigon. While the pool is reserved for in-house guests only, the bar is popular in the evenings with outside visitors.
The hotel's Saigon Kitchen Restaurant offers all-day dining. Mimicking a typical street food court, the open kitchens take the taste buds on a journey up and down Vietnam, and there are also Western dishes. Up on the 23rd floor, the Social Club Restaurant offers its diners beautiful views across Ho Chi Minh City and serves European-inspired cuisine, using fresh seasonal produce.
The rooms are fairly compact, but cleverly designed, with a sophisticated and luxurious color palette of gold, cream and polished wood. The suites offer much more space, including larger bathrooms. All rooms and suites offer a combination of Colonial decor, including custom-designed furnishings and period artwork, with modern touches such as flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning.
Hotel Des Arts has 168 rooms and suites, spread across five categories. All rooms and suites feature flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi and signature Asprey bathroom amenities. Sky rooms and the Executive Studio Suites offer access to the Sky Lounge, where guests can enjoy personalized check-in and check-out, daily buffet breakfast, all day refreshments such as juice, soft drinks and snacks, daily High Tea and evening wine and nibbles.
While there are no specific facilities for children at Hotel des Arts Saigon, families are welcome and baby sitting is available upon request. The rooms are not able to accommodate extra beds, and whilst there are some interconnecting options these are limited, therefore we feel Hotel Des Arts is more suitable for couples or families with older children.
Hotel Des Arts Saigon has two restaurants. The Saigon Kitchen offers all-day dining in a street food inspired setting, with both Western and Asian cuisine. The Social Club Restaurant is on the 23rd floor, offering fantastic views across the city and European dishes for dinner. For those looking for a cocktail, hot beverage, lighter lunch or indulgent afternoon tea, there is Café des Beaux Arts. The hotel's crowning glory is the Social Club Rooftop Bar, which serves cocktails and delicious nibbles and light-bites.
Also on the roof is the hotel's welcoming saltwater infinity pool; the highest pool in the city. On the 3rd floor, guests can find Le Spa des Artistes. There are six treatment rooms, with massages and therapies influenced by European and Asian techniques. For those who want to keep active, there is also a fitness center.
Hotel des Arts Saigon is close to many of the city's cultural highlights, including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House. Scott Dunn can arrange a number of exciting excursions for you, including guided tours of the city, boat trips on the Mekong Delta and visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels.
