Nay Palad, formerly known as Dedon Island, is an amazing resort on the eastern island of Siargao in the Philippines. More than a resort, the all-inclusive element here stretches to many activities and there is a refreshing emphasis on outdoor living.
The Philippine Archipelago has over 7000 islands, so it takes a lot for one to stand out, but Nay Palad (fromerly Deodon Island) is located on the beautiful island of Siargao which is complete with the powdery white sandy beaches we dream of complemented by lush tropical jungle. It is also one of the few places in the Philippines were you can surf!
Outdoor living here is encouraged, quite rightly so as it is beautiful and there are so many activities for you to try your hand at. So be prepared to be away from modern living and ready to embrace some barefoot luxury. Nay Palad is village like and is located between mangrove forests and white-sanded beaches met by crystal clear waters. As soon as you leave your villa you are greeted with sweet fragrances from the tropical gardens and refreshing sea air.
Being a very small resort you feel at home instantly and your good rapport with the staff is noticeable as they gauge your preferences very quickly and never fail to impress. They are always cheery, helpful and so welcoming.
There are just nine villas, they are spacious, luxuriously simple and very comfortable. And with the all-inclusive rates you can enjoy an abundance of activities whether you want to learn to surf, explore some caves, help to cook your meal, do some sailing or just have massage after massage. Then there is of course the amazing food freshly sourced from the sea or land and you can choose to eat it wherever you please.
Each guest who stays has a fantastic but very unique experience as your time spent here is really tailored to individual preferences.
The villas at Nay Palad are very spacious and simply decorated with wooden floors and walls and fresh white linens to give it a beachy look. There are three types of accommodation available - Deluxe Villa, Superior Family Villa and Superior Villa.
Spacious two-storey accommodation featuring king size bed on ground floor and two sofa beds with a generously sized bathroom. There is another room on the first floor with a king bed and a sofa bed. Families are welcome to come and stay at Nay Palad and they will love it here with an abundance of activities to suit all ages to include water sports, beach sports, table tennis, outdoor swimming and cooking classes to name a few. Although we would say it's probably more suited to older children rather than really little ones. The accommodation is also really practical for families with two-bedroom villas and lots of space for extra beds.
Your stay at Nay Palad will be on all-inclusive basis so you can really make the most of what the resort has to offer and not think about all those added extras mounting up for your final bill!
Dining here is a sumptuous affair with lots of delicious fresh sea food varying daily depending on what has been caught. Vegetables, herbs and some of the meat is grown or reared at the resort and meals can sometimes be BBQs, taster menus, family lunches and special requests can be made. They stock a wide variety of wine, liquors, beer and soft drinks which are at your disposal. You can ask the staff to serve you wherever you please, whether it is in the privacy of your villa, at the poolside or even a picnic a boat ride away!
There are so many activities on offer at Nay Palad, you will barely know where to start. The area is of course renowned for its surf. If you are a beginner an instructor will teach you, if you are already competent you can enjoy the services of a guide to take you to the best spots. Other water sports include kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding either in the sea or in the mangroves, sailing, swimming, water skiing, wake boarding and snorkeling. Back on land you can walk along the beach or the reef, beach sports such as volleyball, cooking classes, yoga, cycling, hiking and bird watching. You can go on excursions to caves and coves, local towns and markets and island hopping. And the best thing is that all of this is included, although the worst thing is that you probably won't be able to fit it all in! The only activities you have to pay extra for are diving and deep sea fishing.
