To start planning your vacation to Four Seasons Resort Langkawi
One of only four inhabited islands in an archipelago of 99 islands, Langkawi is a lush and tropical paradise in the Andaman Sea. The Four Seasons Resort has stunning pavilions and villas, a wide variety of facilities and unrivalled service.
Langkawi, located off the northwest of Malaysia, is the first UNESCO Geopark in Southeast Asia, featuring 550-million-year-old rock formations, dense rainforest and secluded islands. The Four Seasons Resort is situated off Langkawi's north western coast overlooking the sparkling crystal clear Andaman Sea.
The hotel itself comprises a mixture of Beach Villas, Pavilions and Family Beach Villas, spread across the vast resort grounds to ensure tranquillity and privacy during your stay. Pavilions are either on an upper or ground floor level. Those on the lower level feature the addition of a private outdoor terrazzo soaking tub within their own private landscaped garden. Those on the upper level enjoy partial sea views. The free standing villas all boast private pools, and most lead directly onto the white sandy beach. For families there are fantastic two and three-bedroom options, providing plenty of space.
The level of service is outstanding, with the staff pre-empting your every want and need. Let your children enjoy the Kids Club whilst you treat yourself to a massage at the multi-award winning heavenly Geo Spa. Should you seek even further peace and quiet, there is an Adult Quiet Pool which has secluded sunbathing areas as well as the Family Pool. The resort offers ample activities including non-motorized watersports, X-Jetblades, on-site rock climbing and tennis courts. Enjoy a round of golf at the multi-award winning The Els Club nearby.
There are three exceptional restaurants to choose from, providing a wide variety of cuisine including Meditarranean, Malaysian and grilled seafood, or why not indulge in a private barbecue on your villa deck followed by moonlit bonfire on the beach. For light snacks, there is the Rhu Bar, which also offers an extensive drinks menu.
The 91 Pavilions and Beach Villas are nestled in the tropical gardens or are set on the beach overlooking the Andaman Sea. Features include timber floors, high ceilings, open air verandas and contemporary comfort, blending Asian and Arab influences. All of the lower pavilions and some of the villas have outdoor terrazzo soaking tubs for two and all rooms are equipped with CD & DVD players, high speed broadband and iPod docking stations.
For ultimate relaxation, Beach Villas have their own spa area. Family Beach Villas have a small second bedroom that is very near to the main bedroom and is ideal for young children. Deluxe Family Beach Villas have two full bathrooms, making this a great option for families with older children. For larger families, or families with teenagers, the Three-Bedroom Family Garden Villas are perfect, offering plenty of space.
For those seeking privacy, the Royal Beach Villa is located in a secluded spot at the end of the resort's beach. With two full-sized bedrooms and bathrooms, a large living and dining area with a separate loo, and generously-sized private pool, this is luxury at its best.
On site children's activities include mangrove visits, drawing, kite making, singing, storytelling and beach activities. The supervised 'Kids For All Seasons' program is complimentary daily Kids Club and for 4-12 year olds. It is mainly based in the children's center but uses the entire resort as its playground. There is also a family pool, children's yoga, children's menus and babysitting is available. Please note that at the two-bedroom villa, extras for children are provided such as sandcastle making kits and beach toys.
There are three restaurants and one bar at the resort. Serai is on the beachfront and serves Mediterranean cuisine. Ikan-Ikan is built in the style of a Malaysian home, and offers delicious local specialties. The Kelapa Grill is also on the shore, with a menu featuring grilled seafood and meat, as well as Asian stri-fried and wood-fired pizzas. Rhu Bar is the ultimate spot for a sun-downer created by the resident mixologist who really knows his drinks.
There is plenty to keep everyone busy, with a complimentary kid's club, windsurfing, sailing, kayaks, cycling, rock-climbing, a fully equipped gym, tennis court, two swimming pools and a library. The Geo Spa is a tranquil retreat with six spa pavilions, yoga and meditation.
Nearby to the resort the following can be arranged: golf, diving (including PADI qualifications), mangrove tours, bird watching, boat cruises and even traditional fishing. The hotel will be on hand to assist you with your desired activities.

The Four Seasons Langkawi is the ultimate Asian beach getaway, while retaining the flawless Four Seasons style and service it has its own themes and influences. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, the restaurants each compliment the other well by serving a variety of cuisines and the facilities on offer need to be made the most of.

If you have the budget and like the Four Seasons style, then you must definitely stay here if you want to come to Langkawi. It ticks the boxes for everything stunning location, flawless service, delicious food and luxurious rooms. You really wont want to leave and when you do you will find yourself booking a stay here again! The great thing is if you are on your honeymoon or with a family, you can enjoy different aspects of the resort which are adult only or particularly focused on children. The north wing is more for adults, whereas the south wing is aimed for children with a childrens pool and the kids club nearby as well as the interconnecting rooms and Family Beach Houses. Lunch at Kalapa Grill on the beach is brilliant and a spa treatment or two is a must as the therapists really personalize your treatment and you come out feeling wonderful, I had one before the long flight home which was a relaxing way to end my stay.

Langkawis Kilim Karst Geoforest Park is home to one of the most diverse tropical ecosystems on the planet but is also home to Four Seasons Langkawi.
Having fallen head over heals for Four Seasons Koh Samui, I was extremely interested and excited about staying here. Their Melaleuca Pavilions are even more stunning that I had imagined, with endless ceiling height, a large Jacuzzi bath tub and a peaceful varanda . The architecture and grounds are out of this world, you feel like you are stepping into a palace. Their adult pool has to be one of the most relaxing places to sunbath, their blue umbrellas and turquoise towels, simply adds to this idyllic situation. If you are feeling energetic, I would recommend swimming the entire 100 meter length of it. With a kids club and a whole reel of activities on offer, you wont find yourself twitching!

Known to be one of the most luxurious properties on the island, the Four Seasons on Langkawi is a luxury haven set on a gorgeous stretch of beach overlooking the Andaman Sea. Like all Four Seasons, this retreat offers,

The Four Seasons is located on the northern tip of Langkawi, with stunning views out to the little islands dotted amongst the emerald green waters. The Pavilions and Villas are set amidst acres of flat, landscaped gardens, making access easy for everyone - a great way to get around is on the bikes that are provided for guests. The Lower Melaleuca Pavilions are a great option for families, as they interconnect through the bathrooms, however if budget permits, I would highly recommend going for a Beach Villa - the views are just amazing and they are huge! There is a great choice of restaurants, from Serai, for breakfast to the delicious Malay food at Ikan Ikan and the relaxed vibe at Kelapa Grill, you are spoiled for choice. The Rhu Bar is a great spot for a cocktail at sunset! There are also 2 pools at the property, one adult only and one family pool with private corners where you can all relax together in the sunshine. The complimentary kids club is also a real draw, the plenty of activities to keep the little ones occupied whilst you enjoy the spa, the beach or one of the many other activities on offer here.
