Bali’s climate is warm and humid, temperatures averaging between 21°C and 31°C. Short bursts of rain occur from November until April, making the velvet green landscape come alive. April to October is the dry season, although in hilly Ubud, you rarely feel too hot.
Festival periods can get busier. In Ubud, however, you never feel the crowds. This is the advantage Ubud has over the south coast area that can get packed to bursting around August, Christmas and New Year.

With a modern take on traditional Balinese style, COMO Uma Ubud is a great option for families and couples alike. The rooms are spacious, white, and simple with plenty of light. A great complement to the surrounding greenery of the jungle. Local shops and restaurants are only 15 minutes away but I definitely recommend trying both restaurants the hotel has to offer - I had a meal at each COMO location on Bali and all of them were nothing short of delicious!

With the noise of crickets as company I left my room and headed along the romantically lit pathways to Cucina restaurant which served delicious Italian food and great cocktails. With an impressive reputation to boot and with good reason, I would recommend mixing your time between local Ubud restaurants during the day and heading back here in the evenings to try as many options on the menu as possible.

Just a 15 minute walk from the cultural center of Ubud, is the beautiful Como Uma Ubud. This was a real highlight for me and I couldn't recommend it more. As soon as you walk into the hotel, you instantly feel a sense of peace and serenity. There is a very relaxed atmosphere here and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel has 46 rooms, suites and villas, all of which are beautifully designed with fresh, simple and clean interiors. The property has a stunning swimming pool, and a dedicated yoga center which offers incredible views across the lush, green valley. The Shambhala Spa is also a real highlight and is made up of four treatment rooms, a steam room, sauna, gym and reflexology area.

This hotel has such a quiet and tranquil feel to it and is a superb option for couples or honeymooners. The rooms are white, fresh and simple; they are beautifully designed and my favorite has to be the newer Uma Pool Villas. These would be the ultimate accommodation for a couple. For families with a small child, the Pool Suites do work well, as they have a small separate room they can convert into a kids bedroom. With just 46 rooms, they still offer a gym, spa with sauna and steam rooms, plus yoga. It is also so close to the town, that you are in the ideal set-up; still enjoying the peaceful countryside, but just a short hop from the town and all it had to offer.

Uma Ubud is an absolute gem. You feel immediately at home upon arriving here - the welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings encourage this. The resort feels quite small, although the accommodation still all feels quite private with lots of windy walkways and lush vegetation. The pool, restaurant and bar are at the center of the property and this area is very relaxed with lots of comfortable seating and service on hand if you need it! I spent lots of time here. The hotel can organize lots of activities such as trekking, cycling tours, walking tours of Ubud and one that I didn't do but would love to - a sunset volcano trek which sounded amazing, so I would highly recommend doing this! I stayed in a Pool Suite which was lovely, the decor consisted of fresh colors and linen. If you want some views, I would upgrade to one of the villas though as the suites and rooms don't have any. Four or five nights here is a try wonderful way to experience Ubud!

Uma Ubud is a haven of calm and tranquility. Set within stunning gardens and with a view of the valley below, each of Uma's 46 rooms offer contemporary Balinese luxury. In particular their garden suites, with their enormous bathrooms, private gardens and stunning walkway entrances above fish ponds are a must. Offering a number of activities, I recommend waking up to a morning of yoga followed by one of the hotels trips to the Bedugal mountains and local market where you will be immersed in the unspoiled culture of Ubud.

The Uma Ubud is located in the jungle in a peaceful setting close to the quaint and quirky town of Ubud. The view from the lobby through to the main part of the hotel is lovely, over the pool and immediately reveals how stylish the property is. There is a wonderfully relaxed bar out in the open sided building by the large and beautiful swimming pool, perfect for an sunset cocktail before heading into Ubud for supper at a local restaurant. The rooms and suites at the Uma and really stylish and comfortable, with chic furnishings and crisp, white fabrics. One of the jewels in the Umas crown is the fantastic Como Shambhala Spa, with a dizzying array of treatments designed to relax and revive. The Uma is ideal for honeymoons or couples looking to explore the great little town of Ubud, with its markets, temples and artisan shops, whilst maintaining a wonderful, Balinese jungle atmosphere moments away from the buzzing streets.
