There is no bad time to go on safari in the Kruger National Park. The experience does, however, change from month to month. In the summer months (October to March), it gets very hot. The verdant vistas are all the more spectacular because of the rains, but this means that the foliage is denser, water is more abundant and game is therefore trickier to see. There are lots of beautiful migratory birds during the summer months. While the daytime temperature in the winter months (May to September) is ideal, it does get a little chilly at night and in the early morning.
Unrivalled big game viewing is complemented by elegant accommodation and sublime cuisine, Thornybush Game Lodge provides stylish air-conditioned suites, with extensive living areas overlooking the seasonal Monwana River.
Warm African safari evenings under the stars make Thornybush Game Lodge an ideal home away from the world. The sheer enjoyment of un-spoiled nature, the invigorating air and the open vistas, will leave you relaxed and energized for your return to civilization.
From within the sumptuous individual suites, each with full en-suite facilities, outdoor shower and private decks, sweeping vistas over the savannah and ever active water hole can be enjoyed. Bathrooms boast large glass windows, offering unique game viewing in & past the river bed. Superb attention to detail and highly personalized service make for a memorable stay.
