The uphill climb will take around three hours, and en route you will pass a number of waterfalls. Once you reach the summit, you will be treated to one of the best views in the county. As you take in the vistas, enjoy a delicious Lao-style picnic served on banana leaves. After trekking back down to Ban Don Khoune you will take a longtail boat back to Nong Khiaw.

Please note that parts of the trek can be challenging. You will also need appropriate footwear, as the ground can often be uneven and wet.
