Kuang Si Waterfalls

This morning's experience starts at Phousi Market, this is a locals' market so your guide will show and explain the diverse offerings on display. From here it's a short walk to Ock Pop Tock, a contemporary silk weaving center. Here you will be given a guided tour and the silk weaving process will be explained. A short drive out of town takes us to Khmu, Hmong and Lao Loum villages, representing the main ethnic groups of Laos. From here it's just a short drive to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pool or walk along the forest trails. Afterwards you may wish to visit the Bear Rescue Center; this is a successful project that works to protect and rehabilitate the rare Asiatic Black Bear. You'll return to Luang Prabang by lunchtime.
