Best Time to Visit Kazakhstan
Kazkahstan's Almaty Province has a humid continental climate with highest precipitation during the months of April and May. As with the rest of Kazakhstan, winter can get cold with snows and sub-zero temperatures. The Summer and Fall months between June and October enjoy pleasant temperatures and lower rainfall that other months.
Bordering the Russian Siberia, Northern Kazakhstan is marked by extreme continental climate with long, cold, dry winters. Astana is the second coldest capital city in the world, where temperatures can do as low as -30 to -35 °C. Highest rainfall is expected during the summer months but is compensated with a warmer climate. As such, Northern Kazakhstan is best visited between April-October. Kazakhstan's Southern Desert enjoys the warmest climate in all of Kazakhstan, with temperatures often hitting 36°C during the summer months of June-August. The weather may get a little chilly during the winter months of December-February but it is noticeably warmer than the rest of Kazakhstan.
