Start with a visit to Lake Mashu before continuing to a local farm for a hands-on experience of cow milking. Continue to Mt Iou and Sunayu Lake Sussharo before ending with an cultural immersion in the Ainu Kotan.
Today, transfer to Lake Mashu, known as one of the most transparent lakes in the world! Continue to a local farm, and enjoy a hands-on experience of cow milking (join-in basis).
After lunch in Teshikaga (own cost), continue to visit Mt Iou – an active volcano before proceeding to Sunayu Lake Kussharo, a beautiful caldera lake in Akan National park.
If time allows (optional), outdoor activities in this area are aplenty, such as cycling, hiking, fishing or kayaking around the lake.
In the lake afternoon, visit the Ainu Kotan- a village of the indigenious people of Hokkaido, then known as Ezo. Enjoy a great variety of authentic Ainu cuisines and cafes, folk art, jewelry and more as you learn about the history and culture of the Ainu.
