Cycling - Golden Tour (3 hours)
Exploring the northern district of Kyoto, this three-hour private cycle ride is the ideal way to experience the beauty of this region. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, your first stop is the Kinkaku-ji Temple, or Golden Temple. Initially built as a villa in 1397, this exquisite building was later converted to a Zen Buddhist Temple and the reflection of the gold-leaf covered pavilion in the surrounding water, is a memorable and soothing sight. The comfortable downhill route then progresses to another highlight, the Zen Rock Garden of the Ryoan-ji Temple. One of Kyoto’s most famous and popular gardens, it is a place that inspires both reflection and relaxation. The ride also includes cycling through the bamboo forest of Arashiyama. Full of atmosphere and charm, this is one of the city’s most photogenic spots.
