The State Department has changed their advice for travelers to Italy to Level 3 (re-consider travel). Fly to London
Days 1-4: London
Begin your journey in London, a melting pot of history and culture, and the United Kingdom’s bustling capital. Spend three nights getting under the skin of the city from your base at The Goring, a luxurious and quintessentially English hotel favoured by the royal family. Days 4-5: Venice
Your rail journey starts at London Victoria, where you board the British Pullman train and enjoy brunch served with a Bellini as you travel through the scenic Kentish countryside. After crossing the Channel, it’s time to board the iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Steeped in history, the train boasts original 1920s features and oozes the glamour and sophistication of the era.
In the evening you'll enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, prepared by the skilled French chefs. Dining on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is an unforgettable experience, offering exquisite European cuisine and a fantastic list of wines to be enjoyed in sumptuous surroundings. After dinner, relax and sip your favorite drink in the bar car whist enjoying the sounds of the pianist and meeting other guests before retiring to your cabin, which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.
The following day you’ll awake to the magnificent scenery of the Swiss Alps as breakfast is served in your cabin. Spend the morning relaxing in your cabin, enjoying the views, and enjoy a leisurely three-course lunch which is served in another one of the beautiful restaurant cars. While away the afternoon admiring the passing scenery as the train travels through the stunning Italian Dolomites. Later, afternoon tea is served in your cabin, before your arrival into Venice at Santa Lucia Station.

Days 5-8: Venice
On arrival in Venice, you’ll be transported by private water taxi to the Belmond Hotel Cipriani, one of the city’s most celebrated hotels.
