Full Day Tour of Lijang

Lijiang is one of our favorite historic townscapes in China, a country brimming with modern development. Somehow this fascinating town has managed to retain its charm and due to it being strongly protected by UNESCO and this doesn't look set to change.

Your full day tour will begin with a visit to the Old Town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, notice how this old quarter has retained a beautiful and high quality historic townscape and ancient water supply system that's beyond comparison in China. Explore this ancient town that radiates charm with your expert guide and see its narrow streets and bridges that date back 750 years.

Next, onto The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds. Travel by cable car up to enjoy the snowy capped heights of this incredible glacier which consists of 13 peaks, the southmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere.

Finally to Lion Hill, known for its 500 year old green pines and cypresses planted during the Ming Dynasty. From the Tower of Eternity, or commonly known as Wangoulou, marvel at the views overlooking the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Naxi villages and green farmlands beyond.
